A fellowship, including a stipend of $45,000, at the C. V. Starr Center for the Study of the American Experience in Chestertown, Maryland, is given annually to a writer of nonfiction (including creative nonfiction) working on a book that addresses the history or legacy of the American Revolution and the nation’s founding ideas. The fellowship recipient teaches a one-semester undergraduate seminar and gives one lecture related to his or her work-in-progress. Submit a writing sample of 25 to 50 pages, a project description, a curriculum vitae, and three references by February 15. E-mail or visit the Web site for complete guidelines.
