A first prize of $3,500 and a second prize of $2,000 are given annually for two poetry collections by U.S. poets. The winning manuscripts will be published by Southern Illinois University Press, which cosponsors the award with Crab Orchard Review. Each winner will also give a reading at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Natasha Trethewey will judge.
