Nature of Words Literary Festival

The seventh annual Nature of Words Literary Festival was held from November 2 to November 6 in various locations throughout Bend, Oregon. The program features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as readings, lectures, book signings, and an open mike. Participating writers in 2011 included poets Aimee Nezhukumatathil and Kevin Young; fiction writers Heidi Durrow, William Kittredge, Keith Scribner, and Mark Spragg; and creative nonfiction writers Augusten Burroughs, Nancy Mairs, and Seth Mnookin.
