The 2012 Library of Congress National Book Festival was held on September 22 and September 23 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The program featured readings and presentations by authors such as poets Nikky Finney and Philip Levine; fiction writers T. C. Boyle, Sandra Cisneros, Junot Díaz, Jeffrey Eugenides, Mario Varga Llosa, Philip Roth, and Colson Whitehead; and creative nonfiction writers Joy Harjo and David Mariniss.
