I am the author of two full-length books:Down to the Quick (Plain View Press, 2007) and One Stands Guard, One Sleeps (Plain View Press, 2009) and three chapbooks: A Siege of Raptors (Finishing Line Press, 2010); Detours&Diversions(Main Street Rag, 2011) and On Location (March Street Press, 2011) I began writing poetry in the mid-90s as a way to record the many stories I'd heard in my work with foster and adoptive kids, homeless families and those with mental illness or AIDS. I am the current managing editor of U.S. 1 Worksheets, the journal of the U.S.1 Poets' Cooperative in New Jersey. I have received awards for my poetry and for my artwork, which I exhibit in juried shows and also at online venues. I am available for editorial consultations.
