The 32nd annual Miami Book Fair International was held from November 15 to November 22 at the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College in downtown Miami. The festival included readings by more than 400 authors from around the world, as well as discussions, panels, performances, and special events and activities with local programs such as Post Lit, Generation Genius, and the Swamp. Participating authors included poets Elizabeth Alexander, Richard Blanco, Juan Felipe Herrera, Pablo Medina, Gary Snyder, and Kevin Young; fiction writers Ann Beattie, Gene Baur, Eric Bogosian, Colin Channer, Sandra Cisneros, Edwidge Danticat, Nelson George, Lauren Gross, Amy Hempel, Madhur Jaffrey, Lily King, Scott McCloud, Judith Miller, George O’Connor, and Ann Packer; and creative nonfiction writers Mitch Albom, Dave Barry, Tom Brokaw, Sloane Crosley, Sally Mann, and Ben Mezrich. The cost of weekend admission was $8 ($5 for seniors and free for children under the age of 12); select author events were $15 each. Call or visit the website for more information.
