Author's Bio

Mary McMyne's debut novel, The Book of Gothel, is forthcoming from Redhook and Orbit UK in 2022. Her poems and short stories have appeared in magazines like Gulf Coast, Redivider, Strange HorizonsApex Magazine, and the Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion. Her debut poetry chapbook, Wolf Skin (Dancing Girl Press, 2014), won the Elgin Chapbook Award. Her other awards include the Faulkner Prize for a Novel-in-Progress, an NEA fellowship to Vermont Studio Center, and a grant from the Sustainable Arts Foundation to research The Book of Gothel in Germany. Her second novel is forthcoming from Redhook and Orbit UK in 2024. 

She is an associate professor of creative writing at Lake Superior State University.
