MacDowell Colony offers residencies of up to two months from October 1 to January 31 to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on a 450-acre estate near Mt. Monadnock in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Residents are provided with a private room and workspace as well as all meals. Travel aid and personal expense grants are available based on need. Using the online application system, submit 6 to 10 poems, or 15 to 25 pages of prose, a description of a proposed project, and a letter of recommendation with a $30 application fee by April 15.
