Three prizes of $3,500 each are given annually for books of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction (including creative nonfiction) published in the previous year. Books by a writer who was born in or is a resident of Virginia or, in the case of nonfiction, with a Virginia theme are eligible. Submit three copies of a book published in 2009 by February 5. There is no entry fee. Send an SASE, call, or visit the Web site for the required entry form and complete guidelines.
