We welcome articles, reviews, op-eds, poetry, fiction, art, photography, essays and interviews that reflect our mission of broadening perspectives on the Middle East and North Africa in the media and the public eye, and promoting peace through a focus on the arts and culture—on creative and intellectual work that broadens the discourse between “east” and “west.” While, generally speaking, the Levantine Review addresses the Arab/Muslim world both in the MENA and diaspora, we also include the many minority cultures that are part of the region.
Submissions should highlight contemporary ideas and issues, personal experiences, opinions, analysis and diverse perspectives in the context of encouraging dialogue and advancing creative self-expression as a means to bridging cultures. Reviews can be about books, movies, music, events and art. Submissions should be in Word, ranging 500-1,500 words, double-spaced and include the contributor’s contact information and a short bio.
