The 2013 Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference was held from June 14 to June 18 at the Land's End Resort in Homer, Alaska. The conference featured workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as manuscript reviews, consultations with agents and editors, readings, and open mikes. The faculty in 2013 included poets John Daniel, Sean Hill, Nicole Stellon O'Donnell, and Lee Ann Roripaugh; fiction writers Richard Chiappone, Ann Hood, Karen Salyer McElmurray, and Melinda Moustakis; creative nonfiction writers Sara Loewen, Nancy Lord, and Sherry Simpson; agent Joy Harris; and editor Alexis Rizzuto. The keynote speaker was poet Naomi Shihab Nye. The cost of the conference was $375 before May 4, and $395 thereafter. Visit the website for the application form and complete guidelines.
