Author's Bio

Joanie Mackowski has published two books of poems: View from a Temporary Window (2010) and The Zoo (2002), both with the University of Pittsburgh Press. Her work has twice appeared in the Best American Poetry anthology, in 2007 and in 2009, and also has appeared in Poetry, The Yale Review, Raritan, The American Scholar, New England Review, and other journals. Part of the Creative Writing Program faculty at Cornell University, she lives in Ithaca, New York.
