Janann Dawkins

Author's Bio

I am an American Studies scholar who wrote rap lyrics before coming to poetry. I am interested in deconstructing societal constructs such as race, gender, and class. I am an atypical feminist who enjoys employing rhetorical devices to write about the erotic. I am an editor by trade, a typist by skill, and a grammarian and etymologist at heart. I seek the hidden and unspoken voices and imagery of American culture.
