The 27th annual Iowa Summer Writing Festival will be held during June and July on the University of Iowa campus in Iowa City. The festival, open to writers of all levels, offers 140 weeklong and weekend-long noncredit workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. The faculty includes poets Arda Collins, Elizabeth Robinson, and Nicholas Twemlow; fiction writers Amber Dermont, Mark Poirier, and Anthony Varallo; and creative nonfiction writers Mary Allen, Hope Edelman, and Peter Trachtenberg. Tuition is $590 per weeklong session or $305 for a weekend course. Registration is first come, first served. Call, e-mail, or visit the website for more information.
