The Writer's Garret (www.writersgarret.org), a Dallas-based, non-profit literary center, seeks a part-time intern(s) for our Community and Mentorship Project (CAMP). CAMP is an innovative program that provides college and MFA-level study and links writers to the community and to each other. The program serves a talented population of aspiring and emerging writers who are unable to pursue a traditional, academic program due to financial restraints, opportunity, and time.
The intern will support the Executive Director in organizing upcoming events, promoting outreach programs, and assisting office staff. The ideal candidate will be computer literate, able to follow through on commitments, and be self-motivated. Preference will be given to those candidates who are aspiring and emerging writers.
Compensation: Intern(s) will receive 1-3 years tuition waiver in our Community and Mentorship Project. A Writer's Garret internship is a great opportunity for both novice and experienced writers who are interested in fostering the education and development of readers, writers, and audiences.
