The tenth annual Interlochen Writer’s Retreat will be held from June 15 to June 19 on the campus of Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan, 15 miles southwest of Traverse City. The conference from June 15 to June 18 offers workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as craft talks, readings, time to write, a dinner, and one-on-one consultations. The conference offers a practicum on June 19 that includes one-on-one consultations, time to write, and lectures and panel discussions about publishing. The faculty includes poet Holly Wren Spaulding, fiction writers John Mauk and Mary Kay Zuravleff, and nonfiction writer Anne-Marie Oomen. Other participating writers include poet Fleda Brown, fiction writer Katey Schultz, fiction and nonfiction Writer-in-Residence Patricia Ann McNair, and nonfiction writers Jerry Dennis and Mardi Jo Link. The cost of the conference is $470 until April 1 and $495 thereafter; the cost of the June 19 practicum is an additional $35 or $95, which includes a one-on-one consultation.
