The 75th annual Indiana University Writers’ Conference was held from May 30 to June 3 on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington. The conference offered workshops in poetry and fiction, as well as craft classes and readings. The faculty included poets Gabrielle Calvocoressi and Adrian Matejka; fiction writer and artist Lynda Barry; fiction writers Lou Berney, Dan Chaon, and Alissa Nutting; and performance artist John-Paul Zaccarini. The cost of the conference was $350, or $600 with a workshop. Lodging and meals were not included; lodging was available at discounted rates on-campus and in the campus hotel. The registration fee was $30; general registration was first come, first served. To attend a workshop, writers submitted 8 to 10 pages of poetry or 15 to 25 pages of prose; admissions were made on a rolling basis. Visit the website for more information.
