Author's Bio

Holly writes fiction and poetry, and is an artist as well. She has a PhD in writing and English literature from SUNY Binghamton, and was a doctoral fellow at Moscow University for a year, after two semesters at Saint Petersburg U.   She served as writer in residence at Saint Albans, Washington National Cathedral. Two anthologies of modern aphorists include her work. Her fiction and poetry have won prizes from Annie Dillard, Victor Lavalle, Kwame Dawes, Rafi Zabor, Paul Horgan, and others. For four years she was a fellow at CUNY Graduate Center’s Writers Institute. She is one of the handful of teaching artists on the official roster of the New Jersey State Council of the Arts.
