Helene Pilibosian

Author's Bio

My work has appeared in such magazines as The Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review, Louisiana Literature, The Hollins Critic, North American Review, Seattle Review, Ellipsis and Weber: The Contemporary West. The latest anthology to include my poems is Forgotten Bread from Heyday Books, which takes its image from one of them. I have published the books Carvings from an Heirloom: Oral History Poems, At Quarter Past Reality: New and Selected Poems and History’s Twists: The Armenians. My early work has been cited in the Greenwood Encyclopedia of Multiethnic American Literature. I hold a degree in humanities from Harvard University. Formerly I was an editor at an Armenian-American newspaper in which capacity I wrote editorials, articles, news reports and book reviews. Now I am head of Ohan Press, a private bilingual micropress which has published eight internationally recognized books of both prose and poetry.
