Healing Art of Writing Conference

The seventh annual Healing Art of Writing Conference will be held from July 8 to July 14 at the Dominican University of California in San Rafael. The conference offers workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as readings and lectures on writing and healing. The faculty includes poets Joan Baranow and Alicia Suskin Ostriker; fiction writers Molly Giles, Marilyn Krysl, and Nina Schuyler; and creative nonfiction writer David Watts. Tuition is $800. The fee for lodging and meals ranges from $450 to $570. Submit five pages of poetry or prose with a $25 application fee by May 15. Call or visit the website for more information.
