Green Mountain Writer’s Conference

The 14th annual Green Mountain Writer’s Conference will be held from July 29 to August 2 in Tinmouth, Vermont, 20 miles southwest of Rutland, at a conference center on the shores of a private lake. The program features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as craft classes, lectures, publishing discussions, and readings. The faculty includes poet Verandah Porche; fiction writers Nicole Bernier and Stuart Horwitz; creative nonfiction writers Chuck Clarino, Yvonne Daley, and Christian McEwen. Tuition, which includes lunch, is $600 before June 30 and $650 thereafter. Lodging is not included, but conference rates are available at area hotels and inns, and lakeside cabins are available for rent.
