Up to 12 prizes of $500 each are given annually for short stories by South Carolina fiction writers. The winning works are published in the Post and Courier, a Charleston daily newspaper, and on the South Carolina Arts Commission Web site. Legal residents of South Carolina who are at least 18 years of age are eligible. Submit a story of up to 2,500 words by January 15, 2008. There is no entry fee.
