Five to eight grants of $4,000 each are given annually to fiction writers to provide time for writing. U.S. writers who have published at least one novel or short story collection are eligible. Submit three copies of 20 to 30 pages of fiction, a curriculum vitae, and a letter of interest between September 1 and October 1. There is no entry fee.
