The 23rd annual Environmental Writing Institute for creative nonfiction writers was held from September 9 to September 13 at the University of Montana in Missoula. The 2015 program, limited to 15 participants, featured four half-day workshops and individual conferences with creative nonfiction writer David James Duncan, as well as time to write. Tuition was $550, which included some meals. Lodging was available at area hotels and inns. Writers submitted an application, a one-page résumé or bio, and a nonfiction manuscript of 2,000 to 4,000 words by July 15. There was no application fee.
