Elizabeth Cleary

Author's Bio

Elizabeth Cleary (Eli) is an American poet living in Hamden, Connecticut. Her poems have appeared in numerous journals and her poem, Battlecry of a Dying Barn, published by Tipton Poetry Journal in 2010, was nominated for a Pushcart. An economist by training, Eli promotes poetry arts programs within local communities and is co-chair of The Poetry Institute-New Haven. Whether reflecting on global events or the happenings in her garden, Elizabeth's poems highlight a sense of shared humanity and compassion.
