Eckerd College Writers’ Conference

The ninth annual Eckerd College Writers’ Conference will be held from January 19 to January 27, 2013, at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. The conference offers lectures, panels, roundtable discussions, readings, and workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. The faculty includes poets Beth Ann Fennelly and Peter Meinke; fiction writers Andre Dubus III, Tom Franklin, Ann Hood, Dennis Lehane, Laura Lippman, Michael Koryta, Stewart O’Nan, Ann Patchett, Sterling Watson, and David Yoo; and creative nonfiction writers Ben Mezrich and Les Standiford. The cost of the conference is $700, which does not include lodging or meals. Scholarships are available. Using the online submission system, submit a writing sample of up to 25 pages and a description of writing experience with a $25 application fee by November 28.
