The second annual Disquiet: The International Literary Program, sponsored by Dzanc Books, was held from July 1 to July 13, 2012, in Lisbon, Portugal. The conference offered workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as lectures, craft talks, and literary walks. The faculty included poet Kim Addonizio, fiction writer Junot Díaz, and creative nonfiction writer Josip Novakovich. A prize of full tuition, airfare, and lodging is given to one writer in any genre whose work “addresses altered, shifting, or broken boundaries, whether geographical, cultural, or interpersonal.” The winning piece is published in Guernica.
