Deirdra McAfee

Author's Bio

Deirdra McAfee’s prizewinning stories, widely published in print and online, have appeared in Shenandoah, The Georgia Review, Willow Springs, Confrontation, The Seattle Review, The Diagram, and others, as well as being anthologized. A skilled teacher and a trained editor, McAfee received an MFA in fiction from The New School and an MA in English literature from Georgetown. A member of the National Book Critics Circle, the Authors Guild, AWP, and the North Carolina Writers Network, she has taught creative writing at The Visual Arts Center of Richmond since 2001.
