David Lloyd directs the Creative Writing Program for the English Department at Le Moyne College. His Phd. and creative writing MA (fiction)are from Brown University. His books include the poetry collection The Urgency of Identity: Contemporary English-language Poetry from Wales (Northwestern Univ. Press, 1994); Writing on the Edge: Interviews with Writers and Editors of Wales (Rodopi, 1997); The Everyday Apocalypse (Three Conditions Press, 2002); The Gospel According to Frank, a poem sequence (New American Press, 2003); Boys: Stories and a Novella (Syracuse University Press, 2004); and Other Land: Contemporary Poems on Wales and Welsh-American Experience (Parthian Books, 2008). He served as poetry editor for DoubleTake/Points of Entry and as fiction editor for the 2008 issue of Stone Canoe: A Journal of Arts and Ideas from Upstate New York. His stories, poems, articles, and interviews, have appeared in numerous magazines including Colorado Review, Crab Orchard Review, Denver Quarterly, DoubleTake, and TriQuarterly. His critical work focuses on contemporary Irish and Welsh poetry in English.
