Dainis Hazners lives near Story, Wyoming. A recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming Arts Council, his work has been published in a variety of literary journals and several anthologies. In 2003 his manuscript (some of) The Adventures of Carlyle, My Imaginary Friend won the Iowa Poetry Prize and was published by the University of Iowa Press. Since 2003 he has completed an experimental prose manuscript, and most recently, a new collection of poetry.
