The Colorado Art Ranch and the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute offers six one-month residencies in wilderness areas throughout the United States to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. Residents are provided with a $1,000 stipend, housing, and work space, but are responsible for their own food, travel, and other expenses. The residency at Carpenter Ranch in Routt County, Colorado, will be held from September 1 to September 30. Submit up to 20 pages of poetry or prose with a $50 application fee by April 15.
