A prize of $1,000 and publication in Chautauqua is given annually for a poem or group of poems, a short story, or an essay on a theme. This year’s contest is open to fiction writers, and the theme is “Music and Words.” Submit a story of up to 5,000 words with a $20 entry fee by November 15.
