The Museum of Fine Arts Houston offered residencies of one to three months from February through June to midcareer poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers at the Dora Maar House in Ménerbes, France. Residents are provided with travel expenses, lodging, work space, and a stipend of $50 a day, and must participate in one community event. For residencies between February 1 and June 30, 2014, writers submitted two work samples of up to 20 pages each, a curriculum vitae, a project description, a proposal for a community event, and two letters of recommendation (sent directly to the organization by the references) by October 15.
