The 2015 Bread Loaf in Sicily Conference was held from September 20 to September 26 in Erice, an ancient, hilltop town on the western coast of Sicily. The conference featured intensive six-person workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as craft classes and readings by faculty. The faculty included poets Maurice Manning and Natasha Trethewey; fiction writers Christopher Castellani and Lynn Freed; and nonfiction writer Patricia Hampl. Tuition was $2,818, which included lodging and meals. The fee for auditors who did not have a manuscript was $2,605. Writers submitted up to eight pages of poetry or up to 6,000 words of prose with a $15 application fee by March 15. Space was limited; admissions were first-come, first-served.
