Brandon Lingle's essay, "A Fair Fight in a Neutral Location," is a notable in the Best American Essays 2010. His writing and photography has appeared in The North American Review, Narrative, War, Literature and the Arts, Evergreen, Mississippi Review, Anderbo, Redivider, CutBank, Juked, Platte Valley Review, Drunken Boat, Stirring, Crash, Sagebrush Review, and Airman Magazine, among others. His photojournalism won Blue Earth Review's 2010 cover contest and the 2009 CutBank online contest. He was a notable in the 2010 New Millennium Writings Contest and wrote the best Air Force feature story in 2003. He graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 2000 and the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2007. He served as assistant professor in the US Air Force Academy’s Department of English and Fine Arts and is currently the Nonfiction Editor and Art Director of War, Literature and the Arts.
