The Antioch Review, founded in 1941, is one of the oldest, continuously publishing literary magazines in America, publishing fiction, essays, and poetry from both emerging as well as established authors. Our authors are consistently included in Best American anthologies & Pushcart.
The best answer we can give on inquiries relating to what kind of material the Antioch Review uses is, "read the magazine." Look through a few representative issues for an idea of subjects, treatment, lengths of articles, and stories we have used; it will be far more rewarding than any theories we might try to formulate. Note: poetry accepted September 1 to April 30.
Please note: The information provided in this database is provided by the magazines listed in it.
