Author's Bio

Allyson Whipple holds a B.A. from Kenyon College and an M.A. from Case Western Reserve University. She also has a black belt in Kung Fu.

Allyson is the founder of the Austin Feminist Poetry Festival, and co-editor of the 2016 Texas Poetry Calendar. She is also co-creator (along with Carly Kocureck) of the interactive game Choice: Texas, designed to raise awareness of reproductive health issues. Allyson teaches at Austin Community College.
