I am an American writer currently living in Paris. My first book, Collateral Damage, is three linked novellas exploring the long-term effects of the Vietnam War. A Small Press Distribution bestseller in summer 2012, Collateral Damage won the Bronze Medal for Literary Fiction from the Independent Publisher Book Awards in 2013. I have also published stories in journal such as Mississippi Review, America West, and Storyglossia. I formerly taught for UC Berkeley Extension and occasionally offer private workshops (see website).
