A Room of Her Own Retreat for Women Writers

The A Room of Her Own Retreat for Women Writers will be held from August 12 to August 18 at the Ghost Ranch Education and Retreat Center in Abiquiu, New Mexico. The retreat, which is open to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers, includes presentations on the craft, business, and process of writing, small group discussions and master classes, readings, and optional consultations. Participating writers include poets Kate Gale, Eloise Klein Healy, Bhanu Kapil, and Tracy K. Smith, fiction writer Janet Fitch, and creative nonfiction writer Mary Johnson. The cost of the conference is $620. Housing costs range from $348 to $834 and include all meals. Transportation is not included. Scholarships are available. Admission is made on a rolling basis.
