Tina Schumann’s manuscript As If (Parlor City Press/Now Split Oak Press) was awarded the 2010 Stephen Dunn Poetry Prize. Her full manuscript was named a finalist in the 2014 Four Way Books Intro Prize, 2011 National Poetry Series, The Blue Light Press Book Award, the C&R Press De Novo Book Award, Trio House Book Award and Augury Books Book Award. This same manuscript was listed as a "remarkable work" in the Tupelo Press 2012 open submission period. She is the recipient of the 2009 American Poet Prize from The American Poetry Journal and her work received honorable mentions in The Atlantic Monthly 2008 poetry contest as well as the 2010 Crab Creek Review poetry contest. In 2012 her work was named a finalist in the Terrain.org Annual Poetry Contest. She is a Pushcart nominee, a featured poet at the 2014 Skagit River Poetry Festival, the Assistant Director of Artsmith.org http://www.orcasartsmith.org/about.html and editor of the forthcoming anthology Two-Countries; U.S. Daughters and Sons of Immigrant Parents.An anthology of Flash Memoir, Personal Essays and Poetry. She holds an MFA from the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University. Her poems have appeared in various publication including The American Poetry Journal, Ascent, Cimarron Review, Crab Creek Review, Harpur Palate, Midwest Quarterly, Nimrod, Palabra, Parabola, Poemeleon, Poetry International, San Pedro River Review, SubTerrain, Terrain.org, Raven Chronicles and the Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine.
