Poet
Livingston, NJ
After publishing poetry in college, becoming editor-in-chief of his school's literary magazine, and winning the school's literary prize for poetry, Neil Ellman went on the earn his bachelor's degree from Hunter College, Masters from Indiana University, and Doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University. A thirty-nine year career as a teacher and school administrator followed. During that time, he found little time for literature, except for many non-fiction articles in scholarly journals; but upon his retirement, he returned to his first literary passion--poetry. Since then, he has published numerous poems in print and online journals throughout the world, as well as in seven print and digital chapbooks.
