Fiction Writer, Poet
Chevy Chase, MD
I'm a poet first and one who writes opera libretti from a series of poems. My forthcoming book ON A BED OF GARDENIAS: JANE & PAUL BOWLES crosses between poetry, fiction, play-wrighting and these are the poems that form my libretto HOW MANY MIDNIGHTS, a project I'm working on with composer John Supko. I also write about opera both essays and reviews. Gertrude Stein is often my subject matter.
