Fiction Writer
Greenbelt, MD
My short story collection, A Place between Stations, was a finalist for the AWP Award Series in Short Fiction and the Hurston-Wright Legacy Award in Debut Fiction. For the last several years, I've taken part in the PEN/Faulkner Writers-in-Schools program in Washington, D.C., and I teach fiction workshops at the Writer's Center in Bethesda, Maryland. I hold a B.A. from Yale University and an M.F.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park, and I live just outside of Washington, D.C., with my husband, Kurt.
