Jen Percy

Jen Percy is an Arts Fellow in the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has received scholarships from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference and the Stanley Foundation. Currently, she is the Writer-in-Residence at the Iowa Museum of Art.

Jennifer Perrine's first collection of poems, The Body Is No Machine (New Issues, 2007), won the 2008 Devil’s Kitchen Reading Award in Poetry. Her second book, In the Human Zoo (University of Utah Press, 2011), won the 2010 Agha Shahid Ali Prize. Perrine lives in Des Moines, Iowa, where she teaches creative writing and gender studies at Drake University.
