I’ve Taught poetry at Georgetown Univ. for 12 years. I now teach part time at Univ. of Texas. Recently was Fulbright Professor of Poetry & American Culture in the Balkans. For over 30 years I’ve been editor/publisher of Visions-International. Have five books of poetry & over 500 poems published in: America, Seattle Rev., Confrontation, The Hollins Critic, Soundings East, Poet Lore, & anthologies: 2003 Struga Festival anthology, Blood to Remember, etc.. I also have had several Fellowships over the past few years including at the Univ. in Leuven, Belgium.
I often write about growing up as the hearing child of deaf parents, and about the usual suspects: love, loss, children, life, in ways that use imagism to convey the more abstract ideas and emotions embedded therein.
