Beth Cagle Burt, Senior editor of prose journal moonShine review, says “Writing and photography are my passions. Not only do I love to create artful poems, prose, and photos, but also I enjoys experiencing an array of eclectic literary and photo artistry, which makes editing a definitive pleasure" Beth has served as a newspaper reporter, college educator, and writing consultant. She has received several poetry awards including first place in the Shadows Ink bi-annual competition for her poetry chapbook, The Fearless Tattoo. Other poetry awards for individual pieces include first place prizes to honorable mentions in state and national contests.
Jessie Carty’s writing has appeared in publications such as MARGIE, decomP and Connotation Press. She is the author of six poetry collections which include the chapbook An Amateur Marriage (Finishing Line, 2012) which was a finalist for the Robert Watson Prize and her newest full length collection MORPH (Sibling Rivalry, 2013). Jessie teaches in the First-Year Writing Program at UNC-Charlotte.
